At Visual Anarchy our mission is to foster equality through video production. And our small team does so in a variety of ways. But we don’t have an operating budget and we’re obviously not a for profit company. So we need your help to keep doing what we do. Whether it’s donating video or audio production gear, sending us monetary support, volunteering your editing time, or introducing us to potential partners, it’s all incredibly needed.
You can learn more below. Here’s the 3 ways we do so.
Film
Every day, non-profits, neighborhood organizations, schools and other good cause organizations make a tremendous impact on our world. But despite their amazing contributions, many often lack the resources for high-quality video services that would enable them to share their amazing work with a wider audience, expanding their outreach efforts to affect even more lives. We provide free professional quality video services to help them tell their stories in their own words, share their truths, and reach more people with their missions of good will.
Empower
We believe firmly that communities are empowered not just when provided with a service, but when they themselves have the skills, knowledge, and tools to create their own media. To that effect we provide in person video production training, we’ve created our podcast Rack Focus (which features behind the scenes interviews with Cinematographers, Producers, Costume Designers, and more), and we’re creating a production gear lending library and donation program.
Educate
We have also created our Poverty Education Project. With homelessness reaching epidemic levels in The United States, we’re fulfilling the call of homeless organizations to create a project that examines the systemic causes of mass homelessness A major part of which is via our film The Invisible Class and additional education videos.
Our screenings are direct actions for each homeless organization involved to help them raise money, generate volunteers and get mailing list signups. Each screening also gathers food, clothing, and/or hygiene supplies for those most in need.
We’re currently partnering with homeless service agencies throughout The United States to educate audiences, inspire calls to action, and empower those experiencing homelessness.
